HOW do they retrieve my students storage items?
At a prearranged time they will meet your student in their dorm lobby to collect your students items. Or, for $35 Storage Squad can meet your student IN THEIR DORM ROOM to pick up their storage items. This alleviates your student from spending time searching for a cart AND from lifting heavy, cumbersome boxes.
I have an incoming freshman, can I ship items to you in advance of their (our!) arrival on campus this August?
YES, absolutely! Additional information and pricing about this will be forthcoming later this spring. KNOW that if your student will be living on campus in an Ohio State residence hall then their items will be securely locked IN your students assigned dorm room in advance of their arrival to campus. NO ONE ELSE CAN DO THIS.
If you will be flying to campus, think of how many fewer items you will bring. If you are driving, think of how many fewer trips you'll need to make to and from your car carrying heavy, bulky items up and back to your students room. And, this alleviates your need to search for a red bin or better yet, wait to unload your car because a red bin is not available then.
WHEN will my student receive their items when they return to campus in August?
If your student will be living on campus in an Ohio State residence hall then their items will be securely locked IN your students assigned dorm room in advance of their return to campus. NO ONE ELSE CAN DO THIS! Prior to your students arrival on campus, Storage Squad is the only company authorized by the university to enter your students preassigned dorm room without them present.
What if my student will be living off campus?
Storage Squad will coordinate with you (or your student) the redelivery of all of their items. AND where possible, Storage Squad may be able to deliver those items to their off campus housing in advance of your return. Confirmation of an early delivery option will be available this spring.
Can you pack my student for me?
YES! This is where LaurenHelpsU can provide assistance. Our team of mom’s can help your Buckeye pack their room at the conclusion of their semester. We will assist your student with packing what goes home, packing what goes into storage, and helping them determine what gets donated and or thrown away. Pricing is based on a dorm room or Greek room move out and includes up to two hours (trust us, that’s ample time) for one “mom”. If your Buckeye is using Storage Squad our team will coordinate with you (or your student) in advance to ensure they have the proper storage forms available for us to use.
